Today, June 27, Se Ve Rica is finally out. It’s a track that blends infectious reggaeton rhythms with the smooth vibe of Latin R&B — but beyond the sound, this is a real-life story turned into music.
Inspired by Real Moments
I’ve always loved writing songs inspired by authentic experiences with my friends. For me, music has to be fun, honest, and truly connect. This song was born from one of those everyday conversations with a friend who used to send me outfit pictures almost every morning — just a little fit check. I would usually hit her back with compliments like:
“Wow, you’re killing it today,” or
“Nobody’s shining brighter than you.”
Until one day, I just said:
“You look good.”
And she, laughing, replied:
“Just good? That’s it?”
So I told her:
“You look amazing… you look fire.”
She cracked up and said:
“That would sound amazing in a song.”
At first, I didn’t think much of it… but the idea stuck in my head — and little by little, it started coming together. That’s how Se Ve Rica was born.
This song isn’t just about how someone looks. It’s a reminder that all women deserve to feel beautiful, powerful, and confident, regardless of stereotypes, toxic comments, or what social media might say.
Not everyone has the “model body” — but beauty is relative. It comes in all shapes, colors, styles, and personalities. Se Ve Rica is for those days when it’s hard to see yourself clearly in the mirror… when you need something to lift you up and remind you of how incredible you truly are.
What makes this release even more meaningful is that it aligns with something special: my friend just graduated college with high honors. And since music is what I do, I decided this song would be my graduation gift to her. A song that celebrates her essence… and the beauty of many others like her.

Hoy, 27 de junio, finalmente sale Se Ve Rica, una canción que mezcla el ritmo contagioso del reggaetón con la suavidad del Latin R&B — pero más allá del sonido, es una historia real hecha música.
Desde siempre, me ha gustado escribir canciones basadas en experiencias auténticas con mis amistades. Para mí, la música tiene que ser divertida, honesta y conectar de verdad. Esta canción nació de una conversación casual con una amiga que solía enviarme fotos de sus outfits casi todos los días, como un pequeño fit check. Yo le lanzaba piropos como:
“Wow, hoy estás rompiendo” o
“Hoy nadie brilla más que tú.”
Hasta que un día, le dije simplemente:
“Te ves bien.”
Y ella, entre risas, me respondió:
”¿Solo bien? ¿Eso es todo?”
Ahí fue cuando le dije:
“Te ves tan bien… te ves rica.”
Ella, muerta de la risa, me dijo:
“Eso sonaría brutal en una canción.”
En ese momento no lo creí, pero la idea se me quedó en la cabeza… y poco a poco fue tomando forma. Así nació Se Ve Rica.
Más que un piropo
Esta canción no se trata solo de cómo alguien se ve. Es un recordatorio de cómo todas las mujeres merecen sentirse hermosas, poderosas y seguras, sin importar los estereotipos, las redes sociales o los comentarios que muchas veces hacen dudar de su valor.
No todas tienen “cuerpo de modelo” — pero eso es relativo. Hay belleza en todas las formas, colores, estilos y personalidades. Se Ve Rica es para esos días en los que cuesta verse bien en el espejo… para levantar el ánimo, para recordar lo increíble que eres, incluso cuando no te sientes así.
Un regalo con propósito
Lo más lindo de todo es que esta canción coincide con un momento especial: mi amiga se acaba de graduar con altos honores de la universidad. Y como lo mío es la música, decidí que este sería mi regalo de graduación para ella. Una canción que celebra su esencia… y la de muchas más.
