One thing I’ve always loved doing is writing songs inspired by my friends. For me, music has to be fun, natural, and most of all — authentic.
This song was born from one of those casual conversations. I have a friend who used to send me pictures of her outfit almost every day before heading out — kind of like a little fit check. I would always compliment her saying things like:
“Wow, you’re killing it today.”
“Nobody’s looking better than you right now.”
Until one day, I simply said:
“You look good.”
And she replied:
“Just good? That’s it?”
We both laughed, and I said:
“You look amazing… you look fire.”
She started laughing and said:
“That would sound great in a song.”
At first, I told her:
“Nah, I don’t think so.”
But like always, my mind started piecing things together… and that idea eventually turned into music.
But Se Ve Rica is not just a compliment. It carries a much deeper message.
Not every woman has a model-like body — but that’s all relative. Women are beautiful in all shapes, sizes, skin tones, styles, and personalities. Each one has her own unique glow, just like my friend.
Unfortunately, with social media, stereotypes, toxic comments, and the daily stress of life, many women often forget how beautiful they truly are. This song is for those days — to lift their spirits when the day feels heavy. It’s a reminder that every woman is beautiful just as she is, and deserves to feel confident, gorgeous, and empowered.
That’s why I repeat Se Ve Rica so many times in the song.
It’s a reminder that true beauty is all about attitude, energy, and recognizing your own worth.
And to make it even more special: my friend just graduated from college with high honors, right around the release of this song. So in a way, this track is also my gift to her for this milestone. Since making music is what I do, what better way to celebrate than with a song?
The song drops this June 27th on all digital platforms.
It will also be available as a free download for countries where internet access is more limited.

Algo que siempre me ha gustado hacer es escribir canciones inspiradas en mis amistades. Para mí, la música tiene que ser divertida, natural, y sobre todo auténtica.
Esta canción nació de una de esas conversaciones casuales. Tengo una amiga que casi todos los días me enviaba fotos de su outfit antes de salir, como un pequeño fit check. Yo siempre le tiraba piropos como:
“Wow, hoy estás rompiendo”
“Hoy nadie rompe más que tú”
Hasta que un día le dije simplemente:
“Te ves bien.”
Y ella me respondió:
”¿Solo bien? ¿Nada más?”
Ahí, entre risas, le dije:
“Te ves súper bien… te ves rica.”
Ella, muerta de la risa, me dijo:
“Eso quedaría brutal en una canción.”
Al principio le dije:
“Nah, no creo.”
Pero como siempre pasa, mi mente empezó a conectar piezas… y la idea terminó convirtiéndose en música.
Pero Se Ve Rica no es solo un piropo. Es un mensaje mucho más profundo.
No todas las mujeres tienen el cuerpo de modelo, pero eso es relativo. Hay mujeres hermosas de todas las tallas, colores de piel, estilos, formas y personalidades. Cada una tiene un brillo propio, como mi amiga.
Lamentablemente, los comentarios malintencionados, las redes sociales, los estereotipos, e incluso el estrés del día a día, hacen que muchas veces se olviden de lo bellas que realmente son. Esta canción es para eso: para levantar el ánimo en esos días grises. Para recordarles a todas las mujeres que son hermosas tal como son, que merecen sentirse seguras, lindas y poderosas.
Por eso en la canción repito tanto: Se Ve Rica.
Es un recordatorio de que la belleza real está en la actitud, en la energía y en reconocer tu propio valor.
Y para hacerlo todavía más especial: mi amiga acaba de graduarse de la universidad con altos honores, justo coincidiendo con el lanzamiento de la canción. Así que este tema también es su regalo de graduación. Como lo mío es cantar, qué mejor forma de celebrarlo que con música.
